Raghav Chadha rejects clean chit to Channi in ‘illegal’ mining case

RUPNAGAR: Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) Punjab affairs co-incharge Raghav Chadha has rejected the clean chit given by the Rupnagar district administration to Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi regarding the allegations of illegal minning in the Chamkaur Sahib assembly constituency levelled by AAP.

While talking to media persons here on Saturday Chadha said that it was Channi’s own administration that gave clean chit to him.

He said that Channi had also given clean chit to himself and his nephew from whom enforcement directorate had recovered Rs. 10 crore.

He said that independent investigations should have been conducted in to the case adding that AAP would conduct independent probe in this regard after coming in to power.

He reiterated his allegation that Channi was a miinning mafia and illegal minning was unearthed at village Jindapur in Chankauir Sahib area by him(Chadha) adding that each and every person of the area knew about such illegal activity.

It may be mentioned that AAP had submitted a complaint to Punjab governor Banwari Lal Purohit recently demanding probe in to Channi’s alleged role in illegal minning at village Jindapur in Chamkaur Sahib constituency and the governor had asked DGP to conduct probe in to the matter.

Raghav Chadha also participate in the election campaign of party candidate Dinesh Chadha at Rupnagar.
